Ex-MP Reddaiah dead; CM pays homage

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy on Friday consoled YSR Congress MLA Kolusu Parthasarathy and his family on the demise of the latter’s father and former MP Kolusu Peda Reddaiah Yadav in Vijayawada. CM Jagan visited the residence of Parthasarathy opposite Swarajya Grounds here and paid his last respects at the mortal remains of the late leader. Parthasarathy, the YSRC legislator from Penamalur, broke down when the Chief Minister consoled him over the death of his father.

Kolusu Peda Reddaiah Yadav breathed his last on Friday at a private hospital in Vijayawada after a prolonged illness. He was a former MP and MLA in the undivided Andhra Pradesh. In 1991, he was elected to the Lok Sabha from the Machilipatnam constituency on behalf of the Telugu Desam. Before that, he was also an MLA of Andhra Pradesh between 1983 and 85.

Taking to Twitter CM Jagan tweeted, “My condolences to K Parthasarathy garu and his family on the passing away of his father, former Member of Parliament, KP Reddaiah Yadav. My thoughts and prayers are with the family in this difficult time.”

Ministers Jogi Ramesh, Karumuru Nageswara Rao and others accompanied CM Jagan and also consoled MLA Parthasarathy and other family members.
