Expedite construction of houses: Collector

Krishna District Collector P Ranjith Basha has instructed the officials concerned to expedite the house construction in the Jagananna layouts. He participated in a video conference conducted by Chief Secretary Dr Sameer Sharma.

During the meeting, the Collector explained the progress of the welfare schemes in the district to the CS. Later, he convened a meeting with the district authorities and informed them that so far 6,753 houses were completed in the district out of 94,256 houses.

The Collector said 2,150 houses had been given electricity connections and 2,164 were given drinking water facilities. During the ‘Gadapa Gadapaku Mana Prabhuthvam’, 508 problems were identified, of which 406 works were sanctioned by the government and 368 works were grounded. The sachivalayam staff will complete all the pending work regarding the welfare schemes and government services.

The Collector also said that they received 855 petitions during the last Spandana programme for the sanction of pension, of which 331 petitions were solved. The petitioners gave 1,237 applications for rice cards and 1,459 petitions for caste certificates in the last week, and all the applications will be solved within 90 days. DRO M Venkateswarlu, DRDA Project Director Prasad and others were present.
