Fans accord CM a grand welcome in UK

Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy received a grand welcome upon his arrival in Luton, England, on Saturday. The YSRCP chief was greeted by an enthusiastic crowd of party supporters and Non-Resident Telugus in Luton. Chants of ‘Jagan Anna’ filled the air as supporters shook hands and interacted with the Chief Minister, who graciously posed for selfies with them.
After a rigorous election campaign in scorching heat and a series of ‘Siddham’ meetings, CM Jagan, along with his family, departed for a tour of the United Kingdom on Friday night. The YSRCP chief is visiting the UK from May 17 to June 1 with his family members, ahead of the Assembly and Parliament election results scheduled to be declared on June 4.
The Chief Minister is accompanied by his wife YS Bharathi and daughters Harsha and Varsha. Their first stop is London, followed by visits to France and Switzerland. Jagan Mohan Reddy had been the YSRC’s star campaigner during the months-long campaign. YS Bharathi also campaigned in the Pulivendula Assembly constituency, where the Chief Minister contested. Incidentally, a day before leaving on his foreign tour, Jagan interacted with a team from IPAC, which advised YSRC on its political strategy for the 2024 elections.
CM Jagan was seen off at Gannavaram airport by Ministers Jogi Ramesh and Kottu Satyanarayana, MP Nandigama Suresh, Government Whips Ch Bhaskar Reddy, S Udayabhanu, MLA Malladi Vishnu, and MLCs T Raghuram and M Arun Kumar.
