Fish prasadam of Bathini family, which had been postponed for last three years due to Covid pandemic, will be administered on June 9 at Nampally exhibition grounds.
They said that this year fish prasadam will be given on Mrigasira Karti from 8am in the morning of June 9. For the last 190 years, the family has been practisingthe fish medicine (prasadam) to those suffering from chronic respiratory diseases like asthma, cough, etc. People must pay Rs 50 at the fisheries counter in the exhibition grounds and then the Bathini family will offer the prasadam to the needy.
It is believed that if this prasadam is taken on Mrigasira Karti day for four to six consecutive years, the respiratory diseases will be cured. Bathini brothers informed that millions of people visit Hyderabad from other parts of the city for the medicine. They also said that this year fish prasadam is being prepared for about two lakh people at their home.
They also informed that they are in touch with the authorities of the exhibition grounds and all the departments concerned for making necessary arrangements to administer the fish prasadam.
Ajay Gupta of Badrivishal Pannalal Pitti Trust and Advisor of Agrawal Seva Dal informed that they had been giving full support to Bathini Family for distributing the fish prasadam every year. He said that like previous years a three-day mega service camp will be organised for free distribution of food, buttermilk, biscuits, fresh drinking water amongst the people coming from all over India at the venue. He said that ambulance service and emergency medical services will also be available at the camp.
They said that this year a large number of people are coming from abroad and are already contacting them through phone and emails.
