Five died in two separate accidents in Khammam dist

Five persons died in a gory accident in separate accidents in the district on Thursday. 

In the first accident at VM Bazaar, the drivers of the two lorries involved in a head-on collision at VM Bazaar died. The two drivers were trapped in mangled drivers’ cabins. The Revenue and Police personnel struggled for two hours extricated them and rushed them to hospital where both of them died while undergoing treatment. The accident happened in the early hours of Thursday

In another accident, three persons of a family died when the car in which they were travelling was sandwiched between two lorries at Konijerla. The car in which the family members were travelling rammed into a lorry from behind. A speeding lorry rammed into the car from behind. It led to the car being crushed between the two lorries, the police said. 

The deceased were identified as Parupalli Rajesh (36), his wife Sujatha (34) and their Ashwith (13). Rajesh’s other son Divijith, who suffered grievous injuries, was admitted to hospital. 

The accident happened when Rajesh, who hailed from Vippalamadaka village in Khammam district, was on his way to the village from Hyderabad. Rajesh worked in a pharmaceutical company in Hyderabad.
