As Somesh Kumar is deciding to appeal against the High Court order, he has only two options left, either take VRS or buy time by applying for back dated leave. Somesh is reportedly reluctant to go to Andhra Pradesh and he is going to retire in December 2023.
He is also considering the VRS option. DoPT said that Somesh stands relieved from Telangana with immediate effect. He was directed to join Andhra Pradesh cadre by January 12. The Andhra Pradesh Chief Secretary was asked to send a compliance report.
