Gannavaram MLA Vamsi files nomination

Gannavaram sitting MLA and the YSRCP candidate Dr Vallabhaneni Vamsi Mohan filed a set of nomination papers before the Returning Officer (RO) and Krishna district joint collector Geethanjali Sharma at the Tahsildar Office at Gannavaram on Saturday. As per the ‘Muhurtham’ Dr Vamsi filed one set of nomination papers along with the party leaders. However, he will be filing another set of nomination papers on April 25.
Interestingly, the YSRCP Political Affairs Committee Member and senior leader Dr Dutta Ramachandra Rao’s son-in-law and the YSRCP Doctors’ Cell former president Dr Siva Bharath Reddy attended the filing of the Vamsi’s nomination programme. Dr Vamsi, a two-time MLA from the Gannavaram is set to contest the third time in the coming elections.
In the previous elections, Vamsi contested as the TDP candidate from Gannavaram against the YSRCP candidate Yarlagadda Venkata Rao and registered his second win consecutively. However, he switched over to the YSRCP defecting from the TDP and now contesting as the ruling party candidate.
Along with Dr Siva Bharath Reddy, Gannavaram MPP Anagani Ravi and others, Vamsi filed his nomination papers. Also, his wife, Vallabhaneni Pankaja Sree filed another set of nomination papers.
