The recently released series Highway Love is keeping viewers hooked with its strong storyline, crackling chemistry, and perfect amalgamation of romance and drama. This romantic drama follows two individuals who meet unexpectedly, delving into the power of human connections, the complexities of love, and self-discovery. Gayatri Bharadwaj, as the lead, takes us through the moments of laughter, tears, drama, and romance in the series. In an exclusive video interaction with the thespian, she synergizes with us, “The show is so relatable to me because it depicts instances of love that happen in our day-to-day lives. Even if I have supposedly fallen in love in my life, it will never be preplanned. For example, the appeal of an outgoing extrovert to a shy introvert might be refreshing. They are socially bold and courageous, which the introvert might wish they were too. So this is the kind of common point about love that you can find in my show.”

She actually loved her character when it was narrated. It happened in February. Her biggest interest in this character was that it was so fun to play. There are certain characters that you hear and you feel ‘wow’ that actually bring so much of ‘mine’, like she will be able to show so many shades of her character through this, so as an actor, it was so fulfilling for her.

Moreover, she knew it was Ritvik, and because her last show did so well, she felt like it was a perfect opportunity to do something again that the audience would love. So these are two big reasons to say yes, as per the actress!

There are times when Gayatri is in the mood for having a good old cry over a fictional couple or rejoicing when two star-crossed lovers finally end up together. We are all humans, and we all want a happily ever after story, right? So she described this feeling as, “I love, love! I could feel romance when I was so captivated by romantic novels. We have grown up in the era of watching series like Twilight, which made me particularly feel romantic. Or, a Vampire Diaries,I still binge-watch these shows. So, you can figure out by now that I am obsessed with passion in love.” There are some moments of self-discovery happening in the show for the leading lady! So liberating a little in the real-life similar moment as such, we found out, “I was a part of a very academically oriented college. I broke that void and formed a team of my own in the sports culture. My inclination towards sports and creativity was rather more than just being a bookworm.

This led me to win many tournaments inter-college that came very unexpectedly to the faculty. Even outside, hearsay was that I wouldn’t be able to crack the code because I am from a dental college and I am supposed to study seriously. But those triumphant victories filled me with so much confidence that I was able to step out of the so-called solemnity and begin my journey in the entertainment industry with a beauty pageant.”

The show is so rooted in itself that people will actually relate to it. It is a series that is full of goodness. There’s so much warmth and happiness in it, as well as a lot of conflict, and who does not have this combination in real life? So the actress believes it is so special to her because it has allowed her to share all her outer layers and just be real in front of the camera, and she thinks that’s what made both her and Ritvik as actors put their blood, sweat, and tears into it, as did the team.

Gayatri also had some highway stories to narrate to us, for instance, “I was the designated chauffeur of my girl gang in college. Even if the vehicle was not mine, I was supposed to drive! Had some self-interest too (she giggled a bit), because I don’t trust anybody else driving me. Pardon me, but I am not risking my life! Our college was surrounded by a lot of hills. Lonavala and Mahabaleshwar were nearby; we used to keep driving to and fro. I have fond memories of visiting Tiger Point at midnight and having Maggie there! We were shooting at the Pune highway, which was so crowded with packed traffic. The trucks were getting extremely loud for us! It was getting so difficult for us to deliver our dialogues because we were constantly interrupted by that hustle and bustle. It is quite chaotic shooting on a highway.”
