GHMC standing committee approvals NOC issued for 31.39-acre land   in Nampally for OGH construction

Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) Standing Committee has approved nine items on Wednesday chaired by Mayor Gadwal Vijayalakshmi.
During the meeting, the committee approved most of the urgent items such as issuance of an NOC for the 31.39-acre land in Nampally Ward 45 for the construction of the Osmania General Hospital including police quarters, stadiums, basketball and badminton courts.
 The committee approved the construction of a box drain for the extension of the Nagamaiah Kunta Nala, with an estimated cost of Rs 3 crore using the leftover funds from the Rs  19.34 crore earlier project.
 The committee approved the acquisition of 174 properties for the road development from Habib Nagar to Chandrayangutta Main Road and from Riyasath Nagar to Papa Lal temple.
 The committee granted permission for the Lighthouse Community Foundation to conduct a Skill Development Programme for unemployed youth and backward women in the slum areas near Mallepally Model Market building for one year.  An approval for the revised proposal for the widening of the road from 24 meters to 30 meters, including the acquisition of 6 properties which will be recommended by the GHMC Commissioner to the State government.
 The committee approved Rs 2 lakh worth of sports materials for organising sports events in each of the 150 GHMC wards.   The other three approvals were  regarding GHMC finances,  a computer operator working at the GHMC Mayor’s camp office and the approval of an additional post in the Secunderabad Zone.
