Girl student commits suicide in Nizamabad

A 17-year-old-girl student committed suicide by jumping from the first floor hostel building on on Sunday night. She was studying first year at a private polytechnic college. The deceased was identified as Akshita. She hailed from Ramayanapet in Medak district.

According to police, the girl student committed suicide by jumping from the hostel building. She climbed to the first floor of the building and called her mother on her mobile phone. When her mother did not answer her call, she threw her mobile from the first floor and later she jumped from the first floor of the building, the police said.

The police admitted the girl, who was grievously injured, to a hospital where she died while undergoing treatment. She reportedly resorted to the extreme step as she reportedly was depressed after failing in some subjects in the first semester and failed to prepare for examinations in the second semester, too.
