Girls urged to follow Ayurvedic practices

Arya Vaidya Sala, Kottakkal, Vijayawada Branch Deputy Medical Officer Dr N Bala Tripura Sundari has asked the girl students to follow Ayurvedic practices. The Department of Computer Science at Andhra Loyola College, Vijayawada, organised an enlightening lecture titled “The Ayurvedic Approach to Empowering Women’s Health” on Tuesday, in continuation of International Women’s Day. Dr Bala Tripura Sundari graced the event as the keynote speaker.
She said that the Arya Vaidya Sala, Kottakkal, a revered institution with over a century’s legacy, is committed to the practice and propagation of Ayurveda both in India and internationally. She, leveraging her profound expertise, illuminated the essential principles of Ayurveda and its pivotal role in nurturing women’s health from adolescence through menopause.
She underscored the significance of Ayurvedic practices tailored to diet, lifestyle, and self-care, with a special focus on menstrual health and natural fertility enhancement. Her discourse aimed to inspire the students to embrace these holistic practices, emphasising their potential to foster well-being and balance throughout the various stages of a woman’s life.
All the female students pursuing Computer Science programmes, and female staff members of Andhra Loyola College were present and the programme was coordinated by K Aparna, staff coordinator.
