Governor attends ‘Amrit Bharat Rath Yatra’

Andhra Pradesh Governor Biswabhusan Harichandan attended the Amrit Bharat Rath Yatra organised by Vipra Foundation near Venkateswara Swamy Vari temple in Brahmin Veedhi here on Tuesday.

The Amrit Bharat Rath Yatra is part of the Parshuram Kund Amantran Yatra, organised by Vipra Foundation, a non-profit NGO, to promote pilgrimage to Parashuram Kund in Arunachal Pradesh. Construction work is going on there to establish a 51-foot grand idol of Lord Parashuram at the site where Lord Parashuram is believed to have performed his atonement. A grand fair is held at the site in January every year on the auspicious occasion of Makar Sankranti.

Malladi Vishnu, MLA and Vice Chairman of the Andhra Pradesh Planning Board, Velampalli Srinivas, MLA and other dignitaries were also present on the occasion.
