The BRS criticised the Telangana Governor for saying that protocols are more important than Bills.

Legislative Council Chairman Gutha Sukhender Reddy said that it doesn’t make sense to stop a Bill that has been passed by the Legislative Assembly over the Governor’s protocol. He asked why the Governor had stopped seven Bills approved by the Assembly.

Sukhender asked how can there be development if Bills are stopped. He said that the Governor system in the country is corrupt and lashed out at the TS Governor’s comments.

It is meaningless for the Governor to say that protocol is not being followed. He said that there is a need for the Governor and the government to coordinate.

There is no truth in the report that the Assembly will be dissolved, Sukhender said. He asked how the Assembly can be dissolved without presenting the budget and said that the opposition is spreading misinformation on Assembly dissolution.

He questioned how the Assembly can be dissolved without holding budget meetings as the Parliament’s budget meeting will be held on January 31 and the Telangana budget meeting before March.

BRS Social Media State Convener Y. Satish Reddy said that Governor Dr Tamilisai Soundararajan is acting like a BJP leader. Governors should act as a bridge between the state and the Centre.

“It is a well-known fact that the Centre is using Governors as its puppets in states with non-BJP governments. That is why Chief Ministers and leaders who spoke before KCR at the Khammam Sabha said that the behaviour of Governors was wrong,” Satish said.

He said that Governors are working as per the diktats of Modi and Amit Shah to damage and destroy state governments. He asked how long can Bills be kept in cold storage for consultations and amendments.

He said that if the seven pending Bills are passed there will be more development in the state and the fruits of welfare will reach all sections and the BJP will not get even a single vote in the next elections. That is why Governor Dr Tamilisai is keeping aside Bills passed by the Assembly.
