Govt keen on developing Vemulawada temple: Minister

Minister for Endowments Konda Surekha said that Sri Raja Rajeshwara temple will be developed on the lines of Sri Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy temple at Yadagirigutta.

Minister for Endowments Konda Surekha on Monday announced that the State government is taking steps to develop the Vemulawada temple on the lines of Sri Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy Temple at Yadagirigutta.
During her visit to Vemulawada town on Monday, she was welcomed by Government Whip Aadi Srinivas, District Collector Sandeep Kumar Jha, and Superintendent of Police Akhil Mahajan.
The temple priests offered her traditional welcome with poornakumbham. She offered prayers to the deity.
Speaking on the occasion, the Minister mentioned that Chief Minister Revanth Reddy is paying special attention to the development of the Rajanna temple.
A high-level meeting on the temple’s development is scheduled to take place soon under the leadership Chief Minister and the government is preparing plans based on scriptures for the temple’s development.
She assured the devotees that all necessary facilities would be provided and that the government has already taken steps to facilitate the smooth flow of pilgrims visiting the temple since the formation of the people’s government.
Local MLA and Government Whip Aadi Srinivas is also working diligently for the temple’s development, she said.
The government is committed to developing the Vemulawada temple orders had been issued for the gold covering of for the Yadadri temple, she said.
With 65 kilograms of gold and 5,000 kilograms of silver available at the Vemulawada temple, plans are being made to use it for golden covering, silver palanquins, and festival idols, the Minister said.

She was accompanied by Temple Executive Officer Vinod Reddy, Vemulawada Municipal Vice Chairman Mahesh, Revenue Divisional Officer Rajeshwar, public representatives, officials and others.
