Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao said that if the government machinery coordinates operations it will speed up social development and make people join hands with the government.
KCR said that the progress achieved in self-rule as a result of the Telangana movement is proof of the success of collective efforts. “We should not stop with what we have achieved and must think bigger,” the CM said. The Chief Minister reiterated that government officials should think creatively to bring about qualitative improvement in the lives of people.
“Everybody works in a routine manner but what matters is working better. Think how much better you can do tomorrow. What is important is how scientifically you work. Only then can we grow. Ways should be explored to solve public problems from time to time in innovative ways. For that, all departments must coordinate operations,” KCR told officials.
The Chief Minister was addressing a high-level meeting at the Pragathi Bhawan on Sunday to review development projects undertaken by the Municipal Department across the state, along with improvements in the infrastructure of Nizamabad.
KCR said that development projects across the state must be pursued continuously. Public needs are increasing in tune with the growing wealth in Telangana. Accordingly, everyone should work together to provide quality facilities to the people, KCR said.
Today Telangana has achieved development in all fields. Earlier, there were not even minimum facilities in TS under the united Andhra Pradesh government. The people of TS got quality infrastructure in agriculture, irrigation, drinking water, electricity, roads, education, medical care etc only after the formation of TS, KCR said.
“The rural economy has grown. As a result, the purchasing power of villagers has increased. All sections of Telangana society are becoming economically stronger. All this was possible through the development of Telangana. So, people expect quality services from the government. It is the responsibility of government officials to provide quality services to the public,” said KCR.
The Chief Minister said that the demand for strengthening civic facilities is increasing by the day. That is due to the increasing confidence of the people in the government, he added. KCR told the government employees that there is a need to win the confidence of the public through continuous efforts.
“Government hospitals and other government systems that have not enjoyed public support in the past are becoming popular today. Migration is taking place into Telangana. Around 30 lakh people have come to Telangana from neighbouring states for work. Revenue has increased in Telangana. Administrative reforms have been implemented and governance has reached the doorsteps of the public. The government machinery should fine-tune itself and meet public aspirations,” the CM said.
Earlier, the rains used to last for only two or three months. Today, the situation has changed due to climate change. Due to heavy rains, construction has slowed down. We have to complete development projects during the dry season. The administration should prepare plans accordingly, the CM said.
