Harish cautions youth against falling prey to communal forces

Must read

Minister for Finance T Harish Rao on Sunday cautioned the youth not to fall prey to communal forces bent upon dividing people on the basis of castes and religion.

Speaking at a meeting of the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) youth wing meeting, the Minister exhorted the party activist to act as a bridge between the State government and the people. He announced the appointment of Nimma Rajanikhant Reddy as president of the BRS youth wing in Siddipet district and Banu Chander as convenor.

Speaking on the occasion, Harish Rao cautioned the party activists to beware of communal instigators. The youth should act as a bridge between the State government and the people. They should take the government’s message to the people. They should also explain to people how the government was striving to ensure the welfare of all sections of society. He asked the youth to strengthen the party to fight the forces bent upon sabotaging the development achieved in Telangana.

The Minister particularly pointed out that the healthcare in the State underwent a sea change. Telangana State became a role model in the implementation of welfare schemes, he said.

The BRS youth wing assembled in the Minister’s camp office under the leadership of Harish Rao.

Later, the Minister distributed tricycle scooters to 50 differently-abled persons at his camp office.

Speaking on the occasion, he said that Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao was striving for the welfare of differently-abled persons. The government has been distributing tricycle scooters, each costing Rs 1,0,400, to the beneficiaries free of cost. The Chief Minister sanctioned Rs 3,000 each to the differently abled persons and it was one of a kind, he said. The BJ-ruled States were paying between Rs 500 and Rs 600 only to each beneficiary, he pointed out. The government has also been sanctioning Rs 1 lakh loan to disabled persons under the self-employment programme.

The vested interests were spreading smear campaign against the State government, he said and exhorted the differently abled person to teach such forces a bitter lesson. He regretted that the divisive forces were bent upon resorting to propaganda which was reminiscent of tactics used by Joseph Goebbels, Hitler’s propaganda minister. He appealed to the people to bless the government and the BRS.

SUDA Chairman Ravinder Reddy, State Nursing Council member Pala Sairam, Market Committee Chairman M Vijeta and others were present.
