Harish demands reimbursement cost for women free travel scheme

`Former minister and Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) leader T Harish Rao on Saturday demanded that the State government reimburse the expenditure incurred by the TSRTC towards the scheme offering free travel for women. The Civil Supplies Corporation too has been hit financially with the government providing LPG cylinder at Rs 500 to families having white ration cards.
Addressing party cadre of Gajwel Assembly segment as part of a preparatory meeting of the Medak Lok Sabha election at Shamirpet on Saturday, Harish Rao said the State government failed to reimburse the expenditure incurred by RTC. It led to crippling of TSRTC financially.
Turning to Rajya Sabha member K Keshav Rao and his daughter switching to the Congress party, Harish Rao said that the BRS had given them posts on a platter. But they betrayed the trust reposed in them by former chief minister K Chandrashekar Rao, Harish Rao said.
Stating that the Congress government had suspended works worth Rs 150 crore in Gajwel constituency, he said the BRS would always stand by people and fight their rights.
