Koppula Eswar undertakes 36-hour Rytu Bharosa fast

In support of the farmers who have been hit hard by drought-like situation in Telangana, former minister and BRS Peddapalli Lok Saba candidate Koppula Eswar embarked on a 36-hour Rytu Bharosa fast on Saturday to highlight t the negligent attitude of the Congress to the woes of the farmers.
The fast would conclude at 8 pm on Sunday.
Addressing the party workers, the farmers have been experiencing difficulties during the three-month rule of the Congress. Though the standing crops in lakhs of acres have been withering away, the state government apparently not moved by it, he alleged.
He demanded that the state government to pay compensation of Rs 25,000 per acre to the farmers. He said that he would not budge till the problems of the farmers were resolved.
The present scenario in Telangana is reminiscent of of the conditions that prevailed in the combined Andhra Pradesh State.
During the BRS regime, former chief minister K Chandrashekar Rao ushered in programme for the welfare of farmers.

During the past 10 years, KCR transformed agriculture into a festival.
