Tension prevailed at Chikkadapally Central Library, as the police locked the unemployed students in the library for protesting against the government to defer DSC or Groups exams on Monday.
The police used lathi-charge on them for protesting to defer DSC and Groups exam. Meanwhile, the unemployed candidates staged a dharna to conduct Group-2 and DSC in December. When the candidates tried to leave the library, the police locked the library gate. The situation became tense when the candidates who continued to protest in the library were arrested.
Siddipet MLA T Harish Rao condemned the police brutality against students studying in Chikkadapally Central Library on Monday via Twitter. Harish Rao said, “It is evil for the government to behave so brutally against the Groups, DSC candidates and the unemployed. Is this what public governance means? Is this what Indiramma Rajyam means?”
“Today the police are sent to the same library and the backs of the students are being broken. I demand that the Chief Minister take responsibility for this incident and apologise,” he added.
