‘Heal Paradise’ boys and girls clinch Kabaddi titles

Heal Paradise School, situated at Thotapalli of Agiripalli mandal in Eluru district, has clinched the titles in both boys’ and girls’ categories in the Andhra Pradesh, Telangana CBSE Cluster-7 Kabaddi championship. The tournament was held at Sri Vidya Peeth at Narketpally of Nalgonda district in Telangana from November 25 to 27. Both the teams will participate in the CBSE National Kabaddi Championship. The dates will be announced shortly. As many as 32 boys’ teams and 18 girls’ teams participated in the three-day Kabaddi tournament.

In the boys’ finals, Heal Paradise School beat DRKL Prasad Public School, Guntur, 42-33. Also, the girls’ team defeated DAV Public School, Tirupati. International coach K Jagmohan presented trophies to the winners. “Heal Paradise School has been selected to take part in the CBSE Kabaddi nationals, and the date and venue would be announced later,” said school principal D Suseela, here on Monday.

Former international kabaddi player and former South Central Railway coach AV Krishna Rao coached the Heal Paradise School teams. Physical Education teacher Nagaraju and Lord Sports Club coach Ramadasu acted as assistant coaches and Vijaya Geetha was the team manager. School founder Dr Satya Prasad felicitated the teams, coach AV Krishna Rao, assistant coaches Nagaraju and Ramadasu, and manager Vijaya Geethika.
