HMDA offices to be moved to Paigah Palace

Government accord permission to the Metropolitan Commissioner, HMDA, Hyderabad to shift all (3) offices of the HMDA, situated in different locations, i.e., Head Office from Swarnajayanthi Complex, Ameerpet, Project Director, Outer Ring Road, Managing Director, Hyderabad Growth Corridor Limited & Director Urban Forestry, Nanakramguda and Buddha Purnima Project, Tank bund to a single location of Paigah Palace, Begumpet, Hyderabad.
The Paigah Palace, which originally belongs to the HMDA, was handed back to HMDA on April 30, 2022 by the US Consulate and presently no operations are being carried out from Paigah Palace. The Metropolitan Commissioner, Hyderabad Metropolitan Development Authority, Hyderabad has therefore requested the government to permit them, so that, al the departments of HMDA can be kept under one roof by shifting all the offices/Departments of HMDA to Paigah Palace, which will increase the productivity of the organisation.
Earlier, HMDA was operating with total strength of only two buildings; at present there are three buildings in Paigah Palace, which can easily accommodate all the departments of the HMDA. Moreover, it will be convenient to the public as it is situated in the heart of the city with all modes of transportation available.
