Prime Video recently unveiled the trailer of the upcoming family comedy series, Happy Family: Conditions Apply. The trailer has been welcomed by audiences, garnering 16+ million views in just 3 days. The series revolves around a joint family of 4 generations who are divided by their divergent eccentric personalities but are united by their bonding with each other, and how their differences often lead to hilarious situations.

Ayesha Jhulka who plays Pallavi in the series, opens about doing a comedy and playing both a Saas and a Bahu. She said, “After back to back serious shows, it felt great to do a comedy. I just felt that Happy Family: Conditions Apply was a very welcoming change in my life. In real life I’m quite a comic character and I like my life to be lighter in all aspects.

Hence, I thought this is a very interesting character and I should do it.” She further added, “Pallavi is sane and sober and is the pillar of the family. She keeps everybody under check, holds the reigns and has different shades to herself which is very interesting. These different shades might act like a surprise element for the audience. Somewhere I feel that there’s a little bit of Pallavi in Ayesha.

Ayesha also spoke about Happy Family: Conditions Apply being her second association with Prime Video and described her relationship with the streaming service. She said, “I enjoy working with Prime Video because they make me feel like home. There’s something very warm about the whole interaction and there’s a lot of togetherness. Making any series or film is about good content.Along with having diverse content to pick from, Prime Video feels like a happy family.”

Created and directed by Aatish Kapadia and JD Majethia under the banner of Hats Off Productions, the family comedy features an ensemble cast led by Ratna Pathak Shah, Raj Babbar, Atul Kulkarni, Ayesha Jhulka, Sanah Kapur, Meenal Sahu, Raunaq Kamdar, and Ahaan Saboo. The 10-episode series will premiere on Prime Video on 10 March with four episodes, followed by two new episodes releasing every Friday until 31 March.
