TDP spokesperson Pattahiram complained to the Judge and his lawyer that he was beaten up by three masked men at Thotlavalluru police station.
He told them that when he was taken to the police station, it was dark. He was taken to a room and three masked men beat him up for about 30 minutes.
“A towel was wrapped around my face and I was dragged into another room. Third-degree was used against me,” Pattabhiram told the court.
Earlier, when Pattabhi was being taken to the Gannavaram police station, he showed his swollen and reddish left palm to the media indicating that he was beaten up in police custody. Pattabhiram’s name was mentioned as Accused No 1 in the case. The Judge referred Pattabhiram to the GGH for medical examination of the injuries and asked the police to produce before him.
