ICCC ops inspected by Collector, CP

NTR District Collector Dr S. Dilli Rao and NTR District Police Commissioner Kanthi Rana Tata paid a visit to the Integrated Command Control Centre (ICCC) located within the collectorate premises in Vijayawada on Monday to observe its operations. Stressing the importance of transparency and fairness in the upcoming general elections, they emphasized the significance of the ICCC as per directives from the Election Commission of India (ECI).
During their tour of the ICCC, they engaged with officials responsible for various functions such as C-vigil, Call Centre operations, Election Expenditure Monitoring System, Model Code of Conduct enforcement, and Grievance Cell management, among others. They provided necessary directives to enhance efficiency in these areas.
Addressing the gathering, Collector Dilli Rao highlighted the role of the ICCC in facilitating coordination among district Nodal Officers, Returning Officers, Assistant Returning Officers, Flying Squads, Static Surveillance Squads, and the Media Certification and Monitoring Committee. He underscored the importance of promptly addressing grievances received and ensuring daily reporting on problem resolution.
Additionally, a special meeting was convened by Collector Dilli Rao to discuss strategies for monitoring and addressing issues related to paid articles in both print and electronic media.
Joint Collector Dr P Sampath Kumar, DRO V. Srinivasa Rao, AO Ch. Naga Lakshmi and other officials were present during the visit.
