Must read

As the Opposition bloc comprising TDP-Jana Sena-BJP relies on electoral promises, the ruling YSRCP is focusing on social justice, development, and welfare for the upcoming elections. The ruling party has already appointed coordinators for the majority of the Assembly and parliamentary segments and is now preparing to release its final list of candidates.
YSR Congress Party president and Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy is scheduled to visit Idupulapaya in YSR district on March 16. At the YSR Ghat venue, he will announce the party’s candidates for the Assembly and Lok Sabha polls. Following this, Jagan will begin his election campaign, according to party sources. In the 2019 elections too, he had declared the candidates list from the same venue.
Reliable sources indicate that Jagan Mohan Reddy will start his election campaigning from the North Andhra region.
The YSRCP chief is expected to sound the poll bugle from Ichchapuram in Srikakulam district on March 18. He is likely to campaign in Vijayawada West and Nellore Rural on the same day. Jagan is expected to address two or three public meetings and road shows daily during his campaign. The party’s top leaders have reportedly finalised the route map for the Chief Minister’s campaign.
On the other hand, the list of YSRCP candidates has been almost finalised. It is reported that the final list of in-charges/coordinators has also been prepared with one or two changes. YSRCP ranks say that the final list will be released in a day or two. Going by the lists released so far, in-charges have been appointed for 77 Assembly and 23 Parliament segments.
Jagan himself had announced at a key meeting of the party held in Mangalagiri that these in-charges have almost been finalised as candidates for the elections. In the final preparatory Siddham meeting held at Medaramet, Jagan also announced that the manifesto will be announced soon. It seems that the YSRCP manifesto is almost ready. It is noteworthy that 99.5 per cent of the promises announced in the manifesto during the previous election were implemented. As a result, the people of the State as well as the political circles are eagerly waiting for the manifesto to be announced by CM Jagan Mohan Reddy for the 2024 elections.
