JAGANANNA CHEDODU: CM to deposit Rs 325.02 cr into 3,25,020 accounts today

Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy is set to release Jagananna Chedodu funds by pressing a button during a programme to be held in YWCS grounds in Yemmiganur of Kurnool district on Thursday, and further he will address a public meeting. CM Jagan will deposit Rs.325.02 crore as financial assistance directly into the accounts of 3,25,020 eligible Rajakas, Nayee Brahmins, and tailors across the State with the click of a button.

Minister for BC Welfare Ch Venugopala Krishna said that with unwavering conviction and belief that the BC communities were not a backward class, but rather the backbone of our society the Jagan government was bringing about change in the lives of the Rajaka, Nayee Brahmin and tailor communities, and empowering them. He pointed out that for the fourth consecutive year, Jagananna Chedodu would be offered and explained that the Jagan government had provided a total financial assistance Rs.1,252.51 crore under this scheme alone in these four years, including the present financial assistance being disbursed today. He explained that financial assistance of Rs.180.66 crore to 1,80,656 tailors, Rs.104.55 crore to 1,04,551 Rajakas and Rs.39.81 crore to 39,813 Nayee Brahmins would be released in this tranche by CM Jagan.

Minister Venugopala Krishna stated that the Jagan government was striving to ensure that every eligible person received the benefit in saturation mode leaving no one behind. He explained that in case of any eligible left out from getting the benefit for whatever reason, they would be given one more chance to apply. If they are found eligible after verification, they will be given the benefit in June or December, depending upon the time of disbursal.
Including the financial assistance being disbursed today, the State government has so far provided upto Rs.40,000 @ Rs.10,000 per annum to Rajakas, Nayee Brahmins and tailors, who own shops.
