President of the Jai Bharat National Party (JBNP) VV Lakshminarayana, popularly known as JD Lakshmi Narayana, and candidate for the Visakhapatnam North constituency unveiled the party manifesto for the upcoming 2024 elections on Tuesday.
Declaring that the JBNP manifesto will change the State’s path, Lakshminarayana highlighted the party’s commitment to prioritise youth and agricultural development.
Lakshminarayana disclosed that the JBNP has allocated party tickets to individuals keen on serving society, particularly focusing on the youth across all 80 Assembly and 10 Lok Sabha constituencies where the party is contesting. In a bold move to showcase their dedication to electoral promises, all JBNP candidates pledged to declare their commitments on a Rs 100 stamp paper for their constituency for the next five years if elected, challenging incumbent parties to follow suit.
Addressing the core elements of the manifesto, Lakshminarayana highlighted the party’s focus on development, youth employment, and farmer welfare. Promises included ensuring a minimum support price for agricultural produce and providing financial assistance of Rs 5000 to farmers to cover agricultural expenses.
Aiming for rival parties, Lakshminarayana criticised the Telugu Desam Party (TDP) and Jana Sena for their apparent silence on the unemployment crisis, while accusing the ruling Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party (YSRC) of offering only freebies and welfare schemes without addressing long-term wealth creation and development.
Lakshminarayana demanded that the YSRCP release a white paper detailing the State’s debt accumulated over the past five years. JBNP candidates announced plans to embark on a door-to-door campaign over the next 14 days to distribute their manifesto, aiming to connect directly with voters and strengthen their electoral prospects.
