Bharatiya Kala Mahotsav which began on Sunday, will continue until October 6 at Rashtrapati Nilayam.
There will be free entry for all visitors to book their tickets online. Shuttle bus service from Paradise Metro Station will be operated for visitors. The grand public opening of the much-anticipated Bharatiya Kala Mahotsav at Rashtrapati Nilayam saw an overwhelming response with a huge crowd on Sunday.
The programme celebrated the rich and diverse culture of India’s North-Eastern states, which began with a dance performance ‘Colors of the North East’, showcasing traditional dance forms from all eight states of the region.
The State pavilions were a major attraction, drawing large crowds eager to explore and purchase local handicrafts. These stalls represented artistic traditions of the Northeast.
One of the highlights of the day was the live demonstration zone, whose visitons had the opportunity to try their hand at various indigenous craft forms such as lotus silk weaving, pottery and basket weaving. This hands-on experience was favorite, offering a deeper appreciation of the cultural heritage of the North-East.
The musical performances, including electrifying sets by 6 Strings Band from Assam and Doctor and The Band from Manipur entertained the audience. Another notable attraction was the stunning Ashtalakshmi Rangoli, a beautiful visual representation of the eight states, which was thoroughly enjoyed.
