Alleging that KCR’s government is corrupt and that corruption is increasing in Telangana, Union Defence Minister Rajnath Singh said that only the KCR family developed in Telangana. KCR cannot live without power and that KCR’s first priority is his family, he added.
Rajnath said that three states were formed by the Vajpayee government. Development is taking place in those states but why is it that there is no development in Telangana, Rajnath asked. He said that Telangana has gone back 10 years under KCR. “KCR should answer why Telangana did not develop in the last 10 years,” he added.
“BJP-ruled states have developed in a big way. The nation is moving on the path of development under the BJP. The BJP is committed to the development of Telangana,” he said.
Addressing a public meeting at Jammikunta under the leadership of Huzurabad MLA Eatala Rajender on Monday, Rajnath described the BRS government as a leakage government.
BJP had a major role in the formation of Telangana state. Telangana was not formed only because of KCR. KCR failed to fulfil his assurances.
There is no development in Telangana except in Hyderabad. Gujarat development is a model for the nation. The BJP has ruled Gujarat for the last 27 years with the development mantra. Congress’ attitude is the reason for the non-solution of bifurcation issues, Rajnath said.
He said that KCR failed to defeat Eatala Rajender in Huzurabad by-poll even though the BRS spent huge amounts and KCR himself personally campaigned in Huzurabad. “Why did the BRS government fail to give jobs to the youth? Where happened to KCR’s assurance of giving jobs? The KCR government has to answer the youth on its failure to conduct competitive exams properly. Dalit Bandhu has become a Bandhu for BRS activists. The BJP fulfilled all its assurances,” he said.
Eatala said that the BRS is asking people to join the BRS if they want the benefits of any scheme. The people of Kamalapuram elected him as an MLA with a majority of 25,000 votes although he had no political background, he said. “I brought many development projects to Huzurabad. I did many things when I was Minister. I know the problems of hostel students. I provided superfine rice to hostel students after becoming minister. I improved the facilities in hospitals after becoming the health minister. KCR did not like when municipal workers went on strike in Hyderabad. KCR dismissed 1700 workers for that. KCR banned dharnas at the Indira Park. KCR did not like it when I supported VRAs. KCR hatched many conspiracies to defeat me in Huzurabad. Is it possible to defeat a leader who lives in people’s hearts? The Huzurabad people won in 2021. I won the elections even though the BRS spent hundreds of crores.
The people must endorse the BJP now,” he said.
