Former Congress leader Ponnala Laxmaiah joined the BRS in the presence of Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao at the Jangaon Praja Ashirvada public meeting on Monday.
Speaking on the occasion, Ponnala said that he faced insults in the Congress during the last 45 years.
Showering praises on KCR, Ponnala said that KCR had taken up a caste census and a comprehensive family survey immediately after becoming the CM and stood as a model to the nation.
He said that KCR is the only CM who did justice to oppressed sections and that KCR constructed seven reservoirs in Jangaon itself.
