Describing former Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao as a ‘Besharam’ leader (shameless leader) and date expired medicine, Chief Minister Revanth Reddy said that KCR has been speaking lies due to his impatience at losing power. The CM said that KCR is worried about the survival of his party.
In a freewheeling chit-chat at the CM’s chamber at the Assembly on Thursday after the BAC meeting, Revanth said, “KCR did not attend the Governor’s speech. One can understand how much commitment KCR has. One can understand how serious KCR is regarding Telangana. KCR did not attend the BAC meeting which decides what to discuss in the House.”
Saying that the Irrigation Minister will reveal when the white paper on irrigation projects will be released he said that KCR has been raising the KRMB issue to divert attention from the Medigadda Barrage.
“Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy seized the Nagarjuna Sagar dam, which was 100 per cent in Telangana till then by sending his police. The police stayed at the dam for three days. Where was KCR sleeping at that time?” Revanth Reddy said.

He said that KCR is the CM who allowed Andhra Pradesh to take 12.5 TMCs of water every day through the Rayalaseema project (8 TMCs per day), Pothireddypadu (4 TMCs per day) and Muchumarri project (0.5 TMC per day) from the Krishna River. This shows KCR’s commitment towards Telangana. However, KCR is speaking shamelessly saying Krishna ‘Basin’ and said that he will make Rayalaseema ‘Ratnala Seema’ while eating AP Minister RK Roja’s fish curry at the cost of Telangana’s interests, the CM said.
“The people of Telangana have understood KCR’s commitment regarding Krishna waters. How many seats did KCR get in the Krishna Basin? He got only four out of 36 seats in the Krishna catchment area districts. People have doubts about KCR. They have forgotten about KCR and his BRS,” Revanth said.
Declaring that he would meet anyone including KCR if they came to him, Revanth asked journos to find out why there was a discussion when BRS MLAs met him. Why was there no discussion when Congress MLAs met KCR in the past? Revanth wondered.
Responding to a question on KCR’s absence on the first day of the Assembly’s Budget Session, the CM said that he wants KCR to attend the Budget session as an opposition leader. KCR has to participate in House discussions and give his opinion to the government, Revanth said.

He said that the TS Congress has appealed to Sonia Gandhi to contest from Telangana in the coming Lok Sabha elections. “We have already passed a resolution regarding this unanimously,” the CM said.

Revanth said that the High Court had informed that it will not be allocating a sitting judge for a judicial inquiry into the irregularities in the Kaleshwaram Project. The court said that it would allot retired judges. However, the CM said, Let them discuss the issue at the Cabinet meeting. The government will also allow a debate in the Assembly on the issue if needed.

Revanth said that the government had ordered a probe into Mission Bhagiratha. He said that the Congress government has clarity on the appointments of job and added that the high command will decide candidates for Rajya Sabha elections. He sarcastically said that there are three seats and they have to contest for them.

Revanth said that the Congress government will pass a resolution on caste census in the House.

The Speaker allotted a chamber to the Leader of Opposition (LOP) but BRS MLAs objected to it. However, the allocation of chambers to the LoP is as per the limits of the Speaker, the CM said. The CM said that the BAC has decided to run the House for four days and after that, the Speaker will take a decision later.
