When Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao launched his war against the BJP many national leaders extended support and expressed their readiness to join him. But surprisingly when KCR was in New Delhi to inaugurate the BRS office the leaders who supported him earlier were absent. Some of them did not even extend greetings after KCR announced the launch of the BRS.

It appears that except for KCR the other national opposition leaders are not particular in fighting the BJP. The reason is some of them are afraid of CBI raids. At the same time, KCR also did not try to speak with them.

It seems that opposition leaders are waiting for the Telangana Assembly elections to take a stand on supporting KCR. KCR also wants to prove his strength and he is now mainly concerned with the Telangana Assembly elections.

KCR wants to give a reply to opposition leaders by winning the Telangana assembly elections. The Telangana Assembly elections have become a benchmark for KCR and opposition leaders in fighting the BJP.

If the BRS wins the Telangana Assembly elections KCR’s image will get a boost at the national level and it will give confidence to opposition parties in aligning with KCR in fighting the BJP. KCR is also planning to become more active in national politics after the Telangana Assembly elections.

Earlier, Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin, Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, NCP President Sharad Pawar and others have supported KCR.

In fact, KCR changed the name of TRS to BRS to fight the BJP at the national level. Except for former Karnataka Chief Minister Kumaraswamy and former Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav no other opposition leader met KCR when he was in New Delhi two days ago.

Even after Central agencies targeted BRS leaders and his family members in various cases KCR did not change his stand in fighting the BJP, unlike some other opposition leaders. The BJP-led Central Government also targeted KCR on political and administrative issues. The Centre is delaying releasing funds to Telangana to harass KCR. But KCR did not step back from fighting the BJP and did not compromise.

Now KCR has decided to concentrate on the Telangana Assembly elections and by winning it he wants to give a reply to the BJP and to opposition leaders those who have doubts about his capability to fight the BJP. The Telangana Assembly elections might change the political scenario at the national level before the next general LS elections.
