Must read

Vijayawada MP Kesineni Srinivas (Nani) has issued a challenge to Telugu Desam Party chief N Chandrababu Naidu for an open debate on the developmental and governance aspects under Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy’s tenure. Asserting that the YSRCP cadre is prepared to elucidate the government’s developmental initiatives to the public, Nani addressed media representatives in Vijayawada on Sunday.
Nani criticized Pawan Kalyan for compromising the dignity of his Janasainiks by allying with Naidu’s political faction for a mere 24 seats. Disapproving Pawan’s rhetoric of crushing the YSRCP, Nani pointed out Pawan’s failure to secure victory in the MLA elections where he contested, emphasizing Naidu’s capacity to challenge all 24 candidates fielded by Pawan Kalyan in the upcoming assembly elections.
Highlighting the stronghold of the ruling YSRCP in Vijayawada (West), Nani confirmed Shaik Asif as the party’s candidate for this assembly constituency, dismissing any speculation of a replacement. Describing Vijayawada West as politically vibrant, Nani recounted his electoral victories and acknowledged the developmental strides made under CM Jagan’s leadership.
Nani praised CM Jagan’s commitment to social engineering by appointing a BC woman as Mayor and another as Krishna ZP Chairman, emphasizing Jagan’s dedication to fulfilling promises even amidst the challenges posed by the pandemic. Responding to Chandrababu’s criticism regarding developmental activities, Nani questioned Naidu’s allocation of funds to Vijayawada and accused him of neglecting crucial projects such as drainage systems.
Asserting readiness for a debate with Chandrababu regarding land acquisitions for real estate ventures, Nani challenged Naidu’s track record of development, pointing out the limited progress during his tenure, including the construction of temporary structures. Nani emphasized Jagan’s focus on grassroots governance by establishing secretariats in every village and investing heavily in healthcare infrastructure.
Regarding welfare initiatives, Nani emphasized the need to communicate CM Jagan’s achievements effectively, contrasting them with the perceived shortcomings of Naidu’s administration. Stressing that genuine development encompasses human capital enhancement, Nani outlined the YSRCP’s electoral prospects, expressing confidence in securing victories in Vijayawada West, Mylavaram, and Tiruvuru with significant margins.
