The TDP-led NDA government, under the leadership of Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu (4.0), has completed its first month in office, focusing on restoring and revamping the administrative systems. The government aims to instil confidence among the people by overhauling the system and implementing transformative changes.
In his first month, Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu has made several significant decisions, including filling 16,347 teacher positions through a Mega DSC, repealing the Land Titling Act, increasing the pension amount from Rs 3,000 to Rs 4,000, reviving the Anna Canteens which were previously closed, and conducting a skill census. The government’s motto is “Simple Government, Effective Governance.”
Priority has been given to key projects such as Amaravati and Polavaram. In his initial week, the Chief Minister visited Polavaram and Amaravati, highlighting the destruction caused in the capital city.
In the first month, the government disbursed Rs 4,408 crore in pensions and took urgent steps to relaunch 183 Anna Canteens. They are also arranging to update farmer passbooks with the new government seal and remove the photo of the previous Chief Minister.
Chandrababu Naidu, in his fourth term as Chief Minister, is dedicated to rebuilding the state after the past five years of challenges. The government has taken decisive actions to lay the groundwork for welfare and development programs.
Notable welfare initiatives include pension and financial aid to individuals such as Seema Parvin of Machilipatnam and Arudra of Kakinada, with Rs 5 lakh assistance and a monthly pension of Rs 15,000, respectively.
In response to the recent murder of a woman in Ipurupalem, Chirala mandal, Bapatla district, the Chief Minister directed the Home Minister and the DGP to ensure the culprits are apprehended within 48 hours.
Additionally, the Chief Minister facilitated compensation from Ultratech Cement Factory, amounting to Rs 50 lakh for the families affected by a recent accident.
Chandrababu Naidu’s visit to Delhi marked a success, where he detailed the state’s challenges to the Prime Minister and Union Ministers, discussing pending projects and funds.
The Chief Minister has also released white papers on Polavaram, Amaravati, and the energy sector, addressing issues from the previous government. He has invited Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy for discussions to resolve inter-state issues.
Furthermore, Naidu has revived the policy of free sand to support the construction sector and plans to create 20 lakh jobs over the next five years. He has met with industrialists, including representatives for the BPCL petrol refinery project, and discussed potential investments with companies like VinFast. Special attention is being given to the completion of Bhogapuram Airport by 2026.
Every Saturday, the Chief Minister visits the party office to engage with the party cadre and ensure proper recognition for BC communities, appointing leaders from these communities to key positions such as party president and Assembly Speaker.
