The phone-tapping allegation of YSRCP rebel MLA Kotamreddy Sridhar Reddy has taken an interesting turn as the legislator has written a letter to the Union Home Minister demanding an inquiry.
Sridhar Reddy told the media here on Wednesday that he had complained to Union Home Minister Amit Shah seeking an inquiry on his phone tapping. The State government, instead of criticising him, should order an inquiry on the phone-tapping issue, he demanded.

“If I get an appointment, I will meet the Union Home Minister in Delhi and explain to him the phone tapping and subsequent threatening calls to me. I am still receiving threatening calls from various individuals,” Kotamreddy said.

Significantly, giving another twist to the phone tapping episode, Kotamreddy Sridhar Reddy’s friend Ramashiva Reddy said that his conversation with Kotamreddy Sridhar Reddy was ‘automatically recorded’ on his phone and he denied that it was a phone tapping.

“I felt disturbed when I came to know that the AP government is being blamed for phone tapping. In fact, my phone automatically recorded my conversation with MLA Sridhar Reddy. I have shared the recorded conversation with my friend who is a contractor that went viral. I had never expected that the recording of my conversation with MLA Sridhar Reddy would trouble the government.

MLA Sridhar Reddy and I have been friends for 15 years,” Ramashiva Reddy made it clear.

It may be mentioned here that former minister and MLA Balineni Srinivasa Reddy told the media that Ramashiva Reddy would come before the media and disclose the facts on the phone tapping allegation of MLA Sridhar Reddy.

Meanwhile, MP Adala Prabhakar Reddy assured the MPTCs and Sarpanches of extending all help. The MP, who was appointed as coordinator to Nellore rural constituency in the place of dissident MLA Kotamreddy Sridhar Reddy, ridiculed that Kotam Reddy Sridhar Reddy had to participate in dharnas in the rest of political life as he could not do anything.
