Minister for Industries K T Rama Rao has brightened the Children’s Day for little ones of the Golden City Colony in Chintalmet.
On Monday, the little kids posted a video on Twitter tagging KT Rama Rao, along with a poster which said, “Happy Children’s Day, Small Childrens Day wish to KTR uncle. We are living in Golden City Colony near Pillar No. 248, Hyderabad. We have been waiting for municipal water for the last five years. We are facing many problems, Please help us.”
As the video got viral, the Hyderabad Metropolitan Water Supply and Sewerage Board officials were instructed by Minister KT Rama Rao and immediately the inspection work began in the place.
Dana Kishore, Managing Director of HMWSSB, responded to Minister KT Rama Rao and said, “We inspected and met Master Umar who posted the video. Over Rs 2.85 crore waterline has been sanctioned to this area. However, we didn’t start work because of the monsoon road-cut ban by the GHMC till October 31 and we are starting now. We assured him of water supply in two weeks.”
Meanwhile, HMWSSB staff will continue to provide water through water tankers. The excavation work for the water pipeline has started in the Golden City Colony and will be completed at the earliest, said the officials.
