Lobbying begins for VC, Registrar posts of YSRHU

Lobbying for the posts of Vice-chancellor and Registrar of YSR Health University has begun.

The name of NTR University of Health Science was changed as YSR University of Health Sciences. The present Vice-chancellor of YSR Health University Shyam Prasad is going to retire on January 13, 2023. According information received, he has begun efforts for the extension of his service for some more time.

A prominent individual is lobbying for the post for his candidate and he approached municipal administration minister Audimulapu Suresh’s close relative in this regard. Another prominent person, renowned psychiatrist and Director of Medical Education Radhika Reddy is also in the race for the Registrar post and she is lobbying for the post through Rajya Sabha member Vemireddy Prabhakar Reddy.

According to unconfirmed reports Radhika Reddy name was finalized for the Registrar post. However, some prominent aspirants are still making efforts for the post. University officials made it clear that the appointment orders for the posts would be issued only after getting green signal from Chief Minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy.
