Mango gardens abuzz with visitors

Visitors flocked to the mango gardens near Vijayawada on the last Sunday of the Karthika Masam to take part in the Karthika Masam Vanabhojanalu. This marked the end of the garden parties, although the Karthika Masam will officially culminate on December 12. Numerous organisations, associations, families, and others spent the entire day at the Mango Gardens from morning until evening.
During the event, people performed a special puja under the Amla tree with their family members. Afterwards, sports, games, and cultural activities were conducted, and all participants from children to senior citizens actively took part in these activities and enjoyed themselves.
Besides families and various organisations, many trade unions and political parties conducted garden parties at various locations near Vijayawada. As a result, the main road from Vijayawada to Nuzvid was busy with huge vehicles, causing traffic jams at Nunna. The Nunna Rural Police regulated the traffic in the morning and evening.
Meanwhile, Bhavani Island attracted a huge public from Vijayawada and surrounding areas. People travelled to the island by boat in River Krishna, and the AP Tourism Department authorities operated boat services for their convenience. People played many games and had ‘Vanabhojanam’ after the activities.
