Janasena political affairs committee chairman Nadendla Manohar has objected to the Revenue minister Dharmana Prasada Rao’s statement that they would demand for a separate state for north AP region, if Visakhapatnam is not made capital city to AP.

Addressing a press conference here on Wednesday, flanked by K Nagababu, Manohar asked whether Chief Minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy was making such comments with the minister.

“Chief Minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy should answer to the revenue minister’s comments on ‘separate statehood to the north AP region’, if Amaravati continues to be capital to AP after the TDP’s win in the next election. The YSRCP is embarrassing the people with contradictory statements,” he lashed out.

“What is the exact policy of the YSRCP and why the Chief Minister is mute when a senior minister is talking about ‘separate statehood’ for the north AP region. Is the minister making such statements on behest of the Chief Minister,” Manohar questioned.

Meanwhile, the stage is set ready for the Janasena party’s mega event ‘Yuvasekthi’ public meeting to be organised on Thursday at Ranastalam village.

The Yuvasekthi is being organised in 35 acres of land. The entrance points were named after Gidugu Ramamurthy, Veeranari Gunnamma, Alluri Sitarama Raju and Kodi Ramamurthy.

Manohar said that parking zones were arranged for parking of vehicles, arrangements were made to provide food to all attendees and toilet facilities were also provided.

Manohar said that the JSP leaders have been continuously monitoring the arrangements for the Yuvasakthi meeting for the last 15 days. The Yuvasekthi meeting will begin at 12 noon on January 12 and JSP chief K Pawan Kalyan will address the meeting.
