Min Venkat may move privilege motion against BRS MLAs

Roads and Buildings (R&B) Minister Komatireddy Venkat Reddy is going to file a privilege motion against BRS MLAs on Monday countering the BRS MLAs’ privilege motion against him.
Speaking to reporters in his chamber Venkat said that he will move a counter-privilege motion against BRS MLAs for speaking countless lies in the House.
BRS MLAs served a privilege motion notice against Komatireddy Venkat Reddy on Saturday and submitted it to the Speaker alleging that Venkat misled the Assembly with false information during Question Hour.
In the notice, they said that Venkat misled the House and Members while answering a question on CRF saying that funds did not come during BRS rule and that the BRS admin did not open an Escrow Account for the Uppal Elevated Corridor and did not spend a single rupee for road construction in Nalgonda constituency. However, BRS MLAs said in their letter that CRF funds came and an Escrow account was opened for the Uppal Elevated Corridor. The BRS leaders said in their letter that Venkat wilfully misled the House, violating the right of members to know facts.
