Minister Konda Surekha condemns attack on forest officials

Forest and Environment Minister Konda Surekha strongly condemned the conspiracy to kill the forest officials who went to stop those who were illegally transporting sand from the forest area under the Illendu Forest Division range of Bhadradri district on Wednesday.
The Minister enquired about the incident on the phone with the officials concerned.
She directed that appropriate measures should be taken to prevent the recurrence of similar incidents and a full investigation into the incident was ordered.
Surekha said that whoever is guilty in this incident will not be ignored and promised that strict action will be taken.
In view of the previous attacks in the forest area, the officials are always alert and should bring to our attention any assistance required.
The Minister said that appropriate measures will be taken to prevent the recurrence of such incidents. If necessary, Chief Minister Revanth Reddy will be informed and measures to be taken will be revealed soon.
