Minister for Tourism and Nagari MLA RK Roja is facing simmering discontent in her constituency as the YSRCP leaders in six mandals raised a revolt against her.
The YSRCP leaders in five mandals in her constituency Nagari registered their protest and raised slogans asking the high command not to give tickets to Roja.
“They held placards with slogans on them ‘Jagananna Muddu-Roja Voddu’. They raised slogans opposing her candidature.
Talking to the media, the dissident leaders said that Roja won from Nagari twice since they supported her. But now they were vehemently opposing her candidature for the third time.
“If Roja is fielded from Nagari constituency for the third successive we will strive hard for her defeat” they vowed.
The dissident YSRCP leaders alleged that the brothers of Roja were harassing the YSRCP cadres. False cases were also registered against some YSRCP activists at the behest of Roja’s brothers. They also made it clear that Chief Minister Jagan Mohan Reddy had not pacified them.
“The reputation of YSRCP is getting damaged with the attitude of Roja and the high command should take it into consideration while allocating tickets to contest from Nagari constituency,” they said.
