Officials directed to be prepared to enforce code of conduct

District Collector Sumit Kumar directed the election officials to be prepared to enforce the Election Code of Conduct immediately after issuing a notification.
The Collector told the flying squad, static surveillance, VST teams and election returning officials to be prepared to ensure to implementation of the code of conduct as the election notification is going to be issued tomorrow.
The Collector said that the DTC has been directed to keep vehicles ready for election observers and various types of teams coming to the district. He said that various teams comprising officials were formed to conduct elections and responsibilities were assigned to them.
The Collector ordered the district R&B officer to take steps to erect barricades and various types of infrastructure at the reception and strong rooms. He said that flying squads, static surveillance teams and SST were ordered to work to enforce the election code of conduct as the notification would be issued on Saturday. The flying squad vehicle has been arranged at border checkposts for video coverage of all FST and SST at border check posts.
Later, the Collector addressed the training classes of officials organized on the campus of SRKR Engineering College on Friday. Collector Sumit Kumar himself trained the election officials on the election process and explained to them on to maintain the handbook, manual and EVMs and explained the importance of mock poll management.

The Collector explained in detail all the necessary matters related to the polling process. He told them that the guidelines and rules books issued by the Election Commission of India should be read carefully and if there are any doubts, they should be cleared immediately. The Collector also instructed the polling officials not to take eatables and breweries offered by political parties when they are conducting elections.
