In a significant step towards improving rural healthcare and welfare services, Telangana’s Information Technology and Industries Minister Duddilla Sridhar Babu, along with District Collector Rahul Sharma, inaugurated a new ambulance in Koyyur village under Malhar mandal in Manthani constituency on Tuesday.
The ambulance, provided under the Health Department, aims to enhance emergency medical services in the region. As part of the same event, electronic scooters funded by ECIL CSR funds were handed over to Anganwadi supervisors to strengthen their outreach and efficiency.
Speaking at the event, Minister Sridhar Babu reiterated the government’s commitment to making emergency medical services accessible in rural areas. He stated that the introduction of the ambulance is a testament to this dedication and will serve as a lifeline for those in need.
The event also marked the distribution of electronic scooters to Anganwadi supervisors under the Aspirational Block Programme (ABP), an initiative led by the Women and Child Welfare Department. The Minister highlighted that these scooters would enable Anganwadi staff to deliver better services, ensuring improved child and maternal welfare.
Minister Sridhar Babu announced that Anganwadi supervisors in two key project areas of the district are being equipped with scooters. Malhar Mandal is receiving five scooters, while Bhupalpally is being allocated fifteen. He directed officials to ensure that all 227 Anganwadi centers in Malhar Mandal are adequately supported and covered under this initiative.
Later, the Minister distributed uniforms to children at the Anganwadi centres and interacted with them. He emphasised the vital role of Anganwadi centers in protecting the health and well-being of children, urging Anganwadi staff to continue their dedicated efforts.
