Minister to inaugurate Krishna Lanka Rythu Bazar today

Minister for Agriculture, Horticulture and Marketing Kakani Govardhan Reddy will inaugurate the newly constructed Rythu Bazar at Krishna Lanka on the bank of the Bandar Canal opposite Krishna Lanka Police Station on Tuesday. The Agricultural Marketing Department has constructed the new Rythu Bazar with an amount of Rs.98.24 lakh for the benefit of the Krishna Lanka people.

In view of the construction of Dr BR Ambedkar Smrithivanam, the Swarajya Maidanam Rythu Bazar was displaced from there. Later, the Marketing Department took into consideration the farmers and consumers and constructed four Rythu Bazars in the city. The Krishna Lanka Rythu Bazar is ready to be inaugurated on Tuesday.

According to Agricultural Marketing Officer A Kishore, the new Rythu Bazar was constructed spending Rs.98.24 lakh on 1.30 acres on the bund of the Bandar Canal, and comprises 91 shops. Modern facilities are being facilitated to the farmers and consumers, he said.

The new Rythu Bazar would serve the entire Krishna Lanka, Ramalingeswara, Bhramarambhapuram, Bhaskararaopet and parts of Governorpet, he added.

He said that Minister for Agriculture, Horticulture and Marketing Kakani Govardhan Reddy will inaugurate the new Rythu Bazar at 4 pm. Home Minister Taneti Vanitha, Government Whip Samineni Udayabhanu, MPs, MLCs, MLAs, local people’s representatives and District Collector Dr S Dilli Rao will attend the programme.
