MLA Vishnu promises permanent solution to potable water problem

Vijayawada-Central MLA and Planning Board Vice-Chairman Malladi Vishnu conducted the ‘Gadapa Gdapaku Mana Prabhutvam’ programme in the 59th division at Ajith Singh Nagar in Vijayawada Municipal Corporation (VMC) on Thursday.

He visited houses, and small business vendors and enquired about the welfare and development schemes in the State. Also, he received petitions from people and directed the officers concerned to resolve them as early as possible.

Speaking on the occasion, MLA Vishnu said that a permanent solution for the drinking water problem in the constituency would be provided with State government funds of Rs 2 crore allotted to each constituency. Also, the government had allotted Rs 20 lakh to each sachivalayam to provide infrastructural facilities, he said.

He further said that around Rs 8.69 crore worth of welfare schemes were implemented in the three-and-a-half years of his party rule. Also, 497 people were getting house pattas under the prestigious Pedalu Andariki Illu, he added.

Meanwhile, he made serious allegations against former chief minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu, and former minister and MLC Nara Lokesh. Chandrababu Naidu failed to implement welfare and development programmes during his five years of rule, he alleged.

VMC corporator Md Shahina, Zonal Commissioner Ambedkar, DE Ramakrishna, AMHO Ramakoteswara Rao, CDO Jagadeeswari, and others were present.
