Caste equations may not be obvious when the numbers are large. But they do show when the team is small and that too if it is the one that counts most. Amid the talk of discernible Reddy dominance in the Congress regime, the Chief Minister has often been quizzed about his take on the composition of his administrative heads. Interestingly, and possibly for the first time, the CM recently spelt out the castes of CMO officials. He said that his peshi comprised one Brahmin, one Muslim, one OBC, one Dalit, and two Reddy officials. For newbies, officials in CMO are: V Seshadri, Shahnawaz Qasim, Manick Raj, Sangeetha Satyanarayana, D G Chandrashekar Reddy, Ajith Reddy, and Vemula Srinivasulu.
