Monday Mirchi : ‘Raj of Vikas’ soon?

Going by precedents, post elections the Chief Electoral Officer of the state gets a plum posting in the government of the day. Following regime change, Telangana CEO Vikas Raj is now in the race to get one such posting after the upcoming Lok Sabha elections. The whispers in the corridors of power are that if the Lok Sabha elections go as per the expectations of the government, Vikas Raj could get a befitting position in the government. For starters, Rajat Kumar, who was the Chief Electoral Officer during the 2018 Assembly elections, was later made Irrigation Secretary by former chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao. Bureaucratic circles say it is just a matter of time before they get to see ‘raj of Vikas’.
