In a dramatic turn of event, noted leader of Kapu community, and former Minister Mudragada Padmanabham has announced his decision to join the YSRCP in the presence of Chief Minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy on March 15 or March 16 alone without the presence of his followers.
In an open letter released on Wednesday, he attributed his change of plan to security reasons. “If a large number of my followers accompany me to the Chief Minister’s camp office in Tadepalli, it will lead to security problems. Moreover there will be a thorough security check of everyone at the entry point,” Mudragada said.
Moreover, there will not be much space to accommodate such a large number of people, he said, adding that he changed the plan and deferred the Tadepalli tour plan on March 14. Mudragada said: “I will join the YSRCP on March 15 or 16 alone. ‘I hereby tender my apology to all my supporters whose response was overwhelming to my proposal to join the YSRCP.”
