Megastar Chiranjeevi’s much-awaited fantasy film Vishwambhara, directed by Bimbisara fame Mallidi Vasishta, appears to be caught in a strange silence. Though most of the shooting is reportedly completed, there has been no official update on its release or promotional plans.
Interestingly, Chiranjeevi has already moved on to shooting for his next film with director Anil Ravipudi, which is progressing swiftly. Trisha Krishnan stars opposite him in Vishwambhara, and Bollywood actor Kunal Kapoor plays the main antagonist, with Rao Ramesh in a key role.
Sources reveal that a few scenes are being re-shot, and post-production is still underway, particularly in the VFX department. After releasing a teaser last year, the makers also dropped a song a few weeks ago. However, the visuals in the teaser received criticism online for subpar graphics. Since then, UV Creations, the film’s producers, have remained tight-lipped, reportedly working hard to enhance the visual effects.
Adding to the excitement is the return of legendary music composer MM Keeravani, who is scoring for a Chiranjeevi film after a long gap.
